BRIEF HISTORY

In the present day scenario of highly committed and time bound logistics, still many major corporate concerns and middle level companies find the transportation and supply chain a major challenging task. In logistics where each and every department is interknitted with the other for proper and smooth functioning of the supply chain, the key to success is the SPEED and ACCURACY. Both have to compliment each other equally to produce an effective and successful solution.

In 1997, China Hualian International Trading Company (a government-owned company) and Kimward Development Ltd. found a joint venture H & T Int'l Transportation Ltd., whose portfolio includes ocean freight , air height , int'l shipping agency , land freight , warehousing , custom clearance , insurance , etc. China Hualian International Trading Company holds 55% shares of the new company while Kimward Development Ltd. owns the rest 45%.Both the companies had been working together since 1991 on mutual agreement basis through which they built the everlasting trust and relationship. Since then, H & T has grown by leaps and bounds and was also ranked among the top 10 most profitable freight forwarders in South China in 2002.

Starting from an office in Guangzhou with just over a dozen employees nine years later, H & T has increased its staff to over 700, operating four subsidiaries (H & T Hong Kong, H & T U.S.A., H & T Digital Warehouse Ltd. and H & T Logistics Ltd.), twenty two branch companies and eight representative offices across China:

South China: Shenzhen, Dongguan, Shunde, Zhongshan, Nanhai; Guangzhou; Hong Kong; Shantou

East China: Shanghai, Ningbo, Nanjing, Fuzhou, Hangzhou; Xiamen

North China: Qingdao, Tianjin, Beijing;

Southwest China: Fancheng, Kunming, Nanning, Guiyang, Chengdu; Liuzhou; Changsha

and working with more than fifty strategic partners around the world. H & T has obtained a Class A Freight Forwarding Licence issued by the former MOFTEC (Ministry of Commerce ), a NVOCC License and an International Shipping Agency Licence issued by the Ministry of Communication, a Cross-industry Insurance Agency Licence issued by the China Insurance Regulatory Commission, and a Class A Air Freight Forwarding Licence issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China.

 

CURRENT STATUS

Today, besides acting as CCNI agent, H & T also serves as the official agent of IRISL (Iran), FESCO (Russia), Asiana Cargo, Saudi Bismillah Airlines and is eyed as a faithful and reliable partner by many other shipping companies and airlines from both home and abroad. Our Hong Kong office is the controlling office for all the agencyship issues, trade enquiries for the shipping lines and the airfreight business.

 

STRENGTHS

As in mentioned above, H & T not only handles ocean freight but also air freight. As the new Guangzhou Airport, one of the three most important airports in China, is expected to start operation in the middle of this year, H & T's air freight division is looking to expand its business rapidly.

In south China, H & T has established a complete service network, offering daily feeder services to / from major ports (Hong Kong , Guangzhou, Shenzhen) in the area.

Also, worth mentioning is that H & T Logistics Ltd. has been contracted by Maersk Sealand to be its inland trucker in Shenzhen area. This marks H & T's high standard of top class reliable service in not only sea and air but also road transportation.

Also, all the licences acquired by H & T Int'l Transportation Ltd. Are applied to its branch offices and representative offices thereby providing a uniform high standard of service globally.
